Adamis was founded in 1965 by Rasulbhai Adamji as a small leather atelier on Colaba Causeway, in the south of Bombay. What began as a counter for women's accessories grew, slowly, into a leather house with ten owned manufacturing units, a vertically integrated brass-fittings division, and clientele in eight countries.
Sixty years on, the flagship store stands a few doors from where it opened. The Prince of Luxembourg and the Prince of Hungary have been hosted there on official tours. The shop window has changed perhaps four times. The leather, sourced from the same tannery for over forty years, has not changed at all.
We make handbags, wallets, briefcases, footwear, travel pieces, and the smaller things — pen cases, watch cases, key leashes — that get passed quietly from one generation to the next. Every Adamis bag carries a lifetime warranty on construction. Every order is monogrammed by hand, free of charge.
We are still a family business. We answer the phone. We repair what we make.
